The Biggest Troubles of Puppy Love! PISS, All Over The Floor!
One of the biggest troubles of puppy love! Warm carpet puddles, the sock graveyard, the 10 feet away mouth dropper, oxycleans compadre'!
My dog was outside for an HOUR! Came in and took a piss on my carpet!
As common of an issue housebreaking is for us dog owners, it is unfortunately a principal of the time and age based mindset & musculature development of thee animal; if improperly established in the animal from an early enough age, housebreaking becomes an issue that requires unscrupulous attention to detail.
If you look at a puppy as a blank literal mind (white and empty like a canvas); associating what it does (positive or negative to us) without results or consequence, it will perform only what works for them. In an analytical sense, if you where to allow a human toddler to only eliminate outdoors instead of in the sanctity of the usual potpourri scented, clean linen spritzed bathroom, they would learn to rush the bushes when nature called.
If when they attempted however, to go into the household bathroom; where they were bombarded with 10ft. godlike creatures (us) pulling them by every limb to the outdoor retreats of flora where they should have gone, you would find them quite hesitant to attempt a future dookie drop in the house.
In the literal sense of a dog; being they’re a domestic/primarily indoor animal; its so much nicer to go on the soft carpet downstairs then on the wet cold grass outside. Because they have these options, it is up to us to see to it they do NOT find pleasure in dropping a deuce or hanging a heehaw on our floors indoors. Puppy potty training 101: Get them OUTSIDEEEE! Enough is never enough!
